One might also consider a revocable trust, with advantages over a will, the largest one is that a trust is exempt from probate (or that is my understanding, at least).

After some research, I decided upon company that specializes in this process; they walked me through it. Every step was straightforward and stress-free. I pay an annual fee to allow me to change anything in the trust. Incidentally, I have a small estate. The initial setup fee was less than one-thirst what a friend paid for the process of drawing up her will.
